Use the regions as a route preview, not a mandatory checklist. The tags show whether a stop is main progression, optional, recommended, or best treated as a missable check.

For a straightforward base-game route, use the progression guide to move through Stormveil and into Liurnia while keeping optional regions separate from the main path.

Build finder
The current high-quality set supports stat, scaling, weapon, and summon decisions. It does not label a build as current unless its guide is ready for that claim.
builds
A soft cap is a breakpoint after which another point gives a smaller benefit; it is not a hard limit. Vigor’s major practical breakpoints are 40 and 60, while damage-stat returns depend on the weapon, affinity, catalyst, upgrade level, and whether Strength receives the two-handing bonus. Use the level-up preview for your exact build.
Open guide →weapons
Weapon scaling is the bonus attack gained from attributes listed on the armament. Letter grades run from E through D, C, B, A, and S, but the hidden numerical coefficient inside a grade varies. Upgrade level and affinity can change both base damage and scaling; two-handing multiplies effective Strength by 1.5 for requirements and Strength scaling, not Dexterity, Intelligence, Faith, or Arcane.

The best Spirit Ash depends on the job: Mimic Tear copies your equipped loadout and costs HP, Black Knife Tiche brings mobile percentage-based damage, Lhutel is durable, Greatshield Soldiers distract groups, and low-cost wolves pressure early enemies. Summoning requires the Spirit Calling Bell, a summon-enabled area, and enough FP or HP.

The best talisman is the one that strengthens the build's main damage plan or fixes a survival constraint; choose by damage type, equip load, stamina, casting, or defensive need rather than one universal ranking.
Open guide →Bosses
Use the route guide for main and recommended encounters; optional and field coverage is only linked when a focused page is ready.
Focused field and optional boss directories are not linked until their coverage meets the current quality gate.

Elden Ring has 19 base-game map fragments and five more in Shadow of the Erdtree. On an unrevealed overworld map, the small pillar icon marks the region's map stele; underground fragments are collected from named corpses or structures instead. A fragment reveals terrain, not every Site of Grace or collectible.

There are eight Memory Stones: buy one from Twin Maiden Husks; loot tower chests at Oridys's Rise, Testu's Rise, Lenne's Rise, Converted Tower, and Seluvis's Rise; defeat Red Wolf of Radagon; and defeat Demi-Human Queen Maggie. They raise the base two memory slots to ten; Moon of Nokstella can add two more while equipped.

At any Site of Grace, use Golden Seeds to increase the total number of Crimson and Cerulean flask charges, and use Sacred Tears to increase how much HP or FP each charge restores. Golden Seeds commonly sit beneath small golden saplings; Sacred Tears are found at churches. Allocate charges separately after upgrading.

After obtaining most Great Runes, restore them at the Divine Tower named in the item description, then equip one from the Great Runes menu at a Site of Grace. Its effect activates when you consume a Rune Arc and lasts until death. Rennala’s Great Rune of the Unborn is the exception: it enables rebirth and is not equipped or activated.

Complete the quest line for the ending you want and satisfy its final interaction after the last boss; use a separate backup before the final choice if you want to compare outcomes without another full run.
Open guide →Shadow of the Erdtree
To enter the Realm of Shadow, defeat Starscourge Radahn and Mohg, Lord of Blood, then interact with the arm in the cocoon after Mohg. This is the official access condition; it is not a general base-game progression checkpoint.
