Harden Input Sequence

1. Equip Vatra's Seal and confirm the Harden meter is available.
2. For a safe first attempt, hold the assigned Seal input before the strike lands.
3. Practice the same readable attack and move the input closer to its contact point.
4. A successful Perfect Harden negates the hit and refreshes the meter immediately.
5. If the action fails, check the equipped Seal, meter, and current control binding before changing the timing.

Perfect Harden

A Perfect Harden is the same action timed as the enemy strike reaches you. It negates the hit and immediately refreshes the Harden meter. There is no honest universal millisecond window: learn the contact point of one readable attack.

Harden Timing

Start by holding early enough to confirm the stone effect. Once that is consistent, delay the input toward impact. Watch the weapon or limb that will actually make contact rather than reacting only to the start of a long wind-up.

When to Use Harden

Use Harden when a single readable hit would interrupt your current attack, when you need a safe reset at close range, or when the meter can be refreshed through a properly timed Perfect Harden. Do not spend it on every wind-up if the next exchange needs the defensive answer more.

Harden During Attacks

Harden can interrupt an attack already in progress, which is why it is useful after a committed swing. It answers one eligible hit; it is not a claim of protection through every later strike in a combo.

Harden Meter and Cooldown

An early Harden protects you but spends the meter, so the action must recover. A Perfect Harden refreshes it immediately. If Harden does not activate, check the equipped Seal and whether the meter is empty.

Harden vs Guard

Guard is safer when you want an early held input across an unfamiliar sequence. Harden is better when you need to stone one hit while committed to your own attack.

Harden vs Parry

Parry asks for a tighter impact read and converts timing into an offensive opening. Harden negates one hit and can preserve your attack commitment; it does not copy Parry's reward or failure behavior.
