First mission priorities

• Build one balanced formation, draft units before stacking passive Totems, and use spells only when a boss or wave is about to stop the run. Push until progress genuinely stalls, then use Dark Rebirth for permanent damage, health, or gold bonuses instead of resetting at the first slowdown.
• Put durable units in the first contact positions and protect rarer damage or support roles behind them. The official page confirms multiple roles and formation swapping, but it does not publish one universal best grid; the correct formation is the one that keeps key damage alive through the current wall.
• Use unit cards to repair missing battlefield roles and Totem cards when the current army already functions but needs a passive multiplier. Every card changes the composition; a rare pick is not automatically correct if it duplicates a role while the frontline or damage coverage remains missing.
• Use Dark Rebirth after formation changes, card swaps, and spell timing no longer move the current wall. It resets the run but preserves permanent bonuses such as damage, health, or gold gains, and later rebirths unlock units, challenges, and a Chieftain choice for the next cycle.
