4thLeft + XLeft + L2

The official guide recommends learning assists before direct switching. That keeps your lead character stable while you learn which teammate direction produces which support action.

Assist-to-switch timing

Call the assist, then watch for the brief Switch? prompt. Press L2 during that window to take control of the assisting teammate. Practice with one direction until the selection is automatic before rotating all three partners.

FAQ

Do all four characters have separate health bars?

No. The team shares one health bar, so switching is about matchup, positioning, and team actions rather than bench regeneration.

Requirements

  • At least one teammate available
